1/2-20 is European threading for rimfire suppressors. Most .45 barrels are threaded 0.578" X 24tpi. Other than matching host threads the general rule is pistols get pistons and springs and fixed barrel gets a fixed mount or a fixed spacer to replace the spring. OOOOPS, 1/2X20 should have been 1/2X28. The 36M is a rifle can. think a rifle version of the Omega 9K with Saker mounts and an extension to make it more quiet. Compared to the Omega 9K, it's not really heavier in the size for size arena. The Charlie mounts weigh more. It depends on the secondary application to really find which one is better.
I have an Sig P320C with OEM threaded barrel in 1/2x28 and plan to run my SilencerCo Omega 9K on it, amongst some other 9mm hosts. From all my GoogleFU it would appear the OEM barrel has a soft shoulder, requiring the 1/2x28 SN (index’s off the muzzle not shoulder) piston.
