But this isn’t a review of the Perfection Lumiere Velvet: Chanel have added a new foundation to their range, Le Teint Ultra Tenue, which promises long wear, good coverage and a luminous matte finish. You can probably guess that long wear + .Chanel promises their Ultra Le Teint Foundation to provide full coverage with up to 24 hours of wear that “lasts even environmentally strenuous conditions. ” They say the liquid formula is buildable for lightweight coverage with a soft matte finish.The most potent molecules within these ingredients have been extracted and brought together to form the basis of the new Chanel Blue Serum, contained within the famous Chanel white and black packaging. The new reformulation has a more fluid lightweight feel compared to the original. Compared to current Chanel matte/velvet bases it’s not thin and doesn’t have quite as much slip as the Ultra Le Teint Velvet (reviewed here). Formula blends well for a soft demi-matte finish.
