So after watching a ton of videos, checking out quite a few builds, I've finally decided to go ahead and assemble my own watch, and by assemble I mean buying a Movement, Dial, Hands, Case, and putting them all together.I was not the biggest watch enthusiast, but after subscribing to r/Watches about a year ago, I was hooked. I was inspired by the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Black Dial with the Jubilee bracelet. All the parts are bought from Aliexpress and eBay. Movement: eta 2824 clone - - link. Case: 45 EUR - link. Probably the nicest watch the brand has produced and not made by Fossil anymore with actual automatic movements. Sure they are ETA 2824 for the automatic. The 2824-2 is an automatic with a date-only calendar. This movement has a quickset function for the date and a hacking seconds option (hacking/stop-seconds functions temporarily stops the balance wheel when setting the time so you can try to make your time as accurate as possible)-both were new to me in terms of this was the first time working .
