Personally, I think it can be worn with a dress shirt but more formal than this is really pushing it. I think it is too much for a sport jacket or suit. The black dial Explorer II has a bit more leeway here but not much.Its proportions and polished surfaces make it equally at home beneath the cuff of a dress shirt or peeking out from under a expedition jacket, exemplifying the Explorer’s versatility as both a tool watch and a sophisticated timepiece.

The Santos seems a bit more dressy than the Explorer II. I work in construction, not manual labor, but project management so my daily work attire is jeans & a polo. Weekends I'm usually in Cargo shorts & a plain black T-shirt. So as a daily the Explorer works better for me & It's also more rugged.
Two reasons: the same movement can be placed in a GMT Master II case in precious metal and Rolex will make far more money. Second, the hefty MSRP increase a few days ago. The 226570 was one of the biggest increases. Long long time lurker, learned so much, especially on technical side. It’s probably the sportiest watch I own, even among pure diving watches.
